15,000 SSLC Scholarship for Economically Backward Students under BBMP Scheme
To encourage the education of students from economically weaker sections, applications are now open for a scholarship (SSLC Scholarship) aimed at those who have passed the SSLC examination with good marks.
Join WhatsApp GroupUnder its welfare program, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is inviting applications to provide financial assistance to talented students residing within the BBMP limits, just like every year. Selected students will receive financial support to pursue further studies.
₹15,000 SSLC Scholarship – Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the BBMP scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- The student must be a resident of the BBMP (Bengaluru municipal) area and hold an Aadhaar card as proof.
- They must have passed the SSLC exam (Class 10) in the first attempt with first class marks during the previous academic year. The exam must have been conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, CBSE, or ICSE.
- The applicant should be a dependent of a civic worker belonging to a particular category residing within BBMP limits.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
Scholarship Amount
Eligible students will receive a one-time scholarship amount of ₹15,000, intended to support their higher education expenses.
Important Dates
- Last date to apply for the BBMP SSLC Scholarship is May 2, 2025.
Applicants are advised to complete the submission process before this deadline.
Application Submission Process
Eligible students must visit the BBMP Assistant Revenue Officer (Welfare) office in person to submit their application. The form must be self-attested and submitted directly at the BBMP office before the closing date.
Documents Required
To apply for the scholarship, students must submit the following documents:
- Aadhaar card of the student
- Passport-size photograph
- Copy of bank passbook
- Address proof
- Age proof certificate
- Copy of ration card
- Family annual income certificate
This scholarship is a valuable initiative by BBMP to support students from financially challenged backgrounds and ensure they have the means to continue their education after SSLC.
