This scheme aims to empower financially backward women by helping them own their own vehicles, specifically free electric scooters. The goal is not only to improve the mobility and independence of women but also to contribute to the overall development of their families. List of BBMP Welfare Programs
Along with free electric scooters, BBMP is implementing several other welfare programs. Eligible citizens within BBMP limits can apply for the following schemes:

Free Electric Scooter Scheme: Full Details
Women working in garments and similar occupations within the BBMP area are eligible for free electric scooters. This initiative is designed to make commuting to work easier and more affordable.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be economically backward.
- They must be permanent residents within BBMP limits.
- Applicants who have already received benefits from previous BBMP welfare schemes are not eligible to apply again.
Priority Beneficiaries:
Although any eligible woman can apply, priority will be given to the following categories:
- Garment workers
- BBMP sanitation workers
- Other working women

Applicants must submit self-attested copies of the following documents:
- Aadhar card copy
- Bank passbook copy
- Passport-size photo
- Caste and income certificate
- Ration card copy
- Address proof (e.g., electricity bill/ration card address)
